Temporary exhibitions presented in the museum or at the Galeries Nationales du Grand-Palais are accompanied with the publication of a catalogue written by the exhibition curators (only those published in English are listed here). It clarifies the scope of the exhibition, gives an overview of the state of research, and presents the artworks featured. Archive documents, elements of chronology and of biography, a bibliography and an index are provided in addition. A Petit Journal is also published on the occasion of some exhibitions.
