Documentation centre of the cultural service
Students are welcome upon prior appointment at the documentation room to prepare a visit or to carry out some research.
The books, documents and dossiers are to be consulted in house. They are related to the collections of the Musée d'Orsay and to the period 1848-1914.
Documents to help them prepare their visit are also available, in particular
- thematic fact sheets, some available in five languages that may also be downloaded on the web site
- fact sheets about particular artists, available in French only
- fact sheets about particular pieces of artwork, available in French only.
No pictures of artworks are available either for sale or for free at the documentation. Postcards, posters, slides, etc. are for sale from the Réunion des Musées Nationaux.
