Harmonie brune (Rouen Cathedral, The Portal, Front View, Brown Harmony) by Monet and L'Absinthe (In a Café) by Degas, this presentation aims at providing the public with an opportunity to establish a bridge between Chinese and French cultures, highlighting both distinctive and similar features, the things they have in common and those that make them complementary.
Over six months, Chinese cultural institutions will thus present fifty-one artworks from French collections, thirty-eight of which belong to the Musée d'Orsay, eleven to prestigious museums from different French regions and a magnificent landscape by Cézanne, La Côte du Galet à Pontoise (The Coast of Galet, at Pontoise), dated 1880-1881, was lent by LVMH / Moët Hennessy.
