The Musée d'Orsay organisation chart brings together five departments reporting to the Board: general administration, curatorial department, cultural and educational service, the auditorium and communications.



Publishing, sponsorship and international relations are brought together under the direct authority of the director of the Public Establishment of the Musée d'Orsay.
Under the direct control of the director of the EPA, the curatorial department is organised into six specialist areas: painting, sculpture and medals, decorative art, architecture, photography and drawing.
The curators are permanent members of the establishment's scientific committee, and may undertake tasks outside their specialist areas.
In addition to exhibitions, acquisitions, management of artworks, workshops on museography and photography, the curatorial department also has a research section, which manages a documentation centre and a library.
This department aims to produce and organise the museum's cultural options offered to all audiences. It brings together the following areas: publications, audio-visual productions, internet and multimedia, lectures and symposia, educational services and documentation.
This department designs and implements the programming for music, cinema, theatre and dance in conjunction with the other departments of the EPA
Under the direct authority of the Director of the establishment, this department, through the implementation of its communications strategy, is responsible for promoting the Museum, its collections and all its activities, both in France and abroad. Another of its roles is to develop financial partnerships through corporate sponsorship. The communications department brings together the following areas: public and corporate relations, press relations, external relations and international sponsorship, graphics and printing.
The general administration department comprises the following departments: audiences and sales, reception and supervision, commercial operations and security, IT, museography and building works, administrativeand financial, and human resources. This department organises and oversees the management of the establishment in relation to all of the other departments.
