When and where to buy entrance tickets

You can buy your entrance ticket online or at the museum for admission on the day or later.

Heritage days

Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 September 2014 reduced rate
for all visitors normally paying full admission price (tickets sold only at the museum on the day of the visit).

Museum ticket

This ticket is for entry into the permanent collections, and for temporary exhibitions, subject to availability.

  • for 18-25 year olds who are not citizens or long-term residents of an EU member state
  • for everyone from 4.30pm (except Thursdays)
  • for everyone on Thursday evenings, from 6pm

Musée d'Orsay /Musée de l'Orangerie Passport

This entrance ticket is valid, on the date purchased, for the permanent collections and exhibitions of the museum where it was bought, and for a visit to the permanent collections and exhibitions of the other museum within four days.


Musée d'Orsay - Musée Rodin Passport

This entrance ticket is valid for admission to the permanent collections of both museums on the same day.


Keep your ticket!

In the week following the date on your Musée d'Orsay entrance ticket you can take advantage of reduced rates:

  • to buy a ticket for the Gustave Moreau National Museum (please note: this museum is exceptionally closed for renovation and expansion for a period of five months from Monday 15 July 2013 included)
  • to visit the Palais Garnier (Paris National Opera) unguided
