Trio Arcadis
The program: Gabriel Fauré, Théodore Dubois, Maurice Ravel, Martial Caillebotte
First, see the work of the painter with the exhibition "Caillebotte, painting men", then listen to the music of Martial, who also composed religious works for the third brother, Alfred, priest of Notre-Dame-de-Lorette. Three brothers with a profound, artistic connection, summoned for a Concert de midi trente.
The program for this concert includes the music of Martial Caillebotte, brother of Gustave Caillebotte. Martial Caillebotte, depicted in paintings by his brother, with whom he had a close relationship, mainly composed pieces for piano, in addition to religious music dedicated to his half-brother Alfred, priest of Notre-Dame-de-Lorette. His music will be presented alongside a piece by Théodore Dubois, Martial's harmony teacher, and to round off the ensemble, pieces by their contemporaries Gabriel Fauré and Maurice Ravel.
Trio Arcadis is composed of Amandine Ley on the violin and Nicolas Saint-Yves on the cello, both musicians from the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra, and multifaceted pianist David Violi. Created in 2001, Trio Arcadis won 3rd prize at the Lyon International Chamber Music Competition. Their 3rd album, POEMS, released in 2021, was hailed by the critics and received 5 awards from Diapason magazine as well as a 4-star review in Classica magazine.
