From March 14th to July 2nd, Musée d'Orsay is presenting the highlights of its collection of pastels, one of the most extensive anywhere in the world. The “Pastels, from Millet to Redon” exhibition provides visitors with almost a hundred works created by the medium’s greatest artists, including Degas, Redon, Millet, Lévy-Dhurmer... Caroline Corbeau-Parsons, curator of this outstanding presentation, explains what guided her choice among the multitude of items conserved by the Museum, as well as the development of this delicate art across the period covered by Orsay, 1848-1914.
