Je t'aime… moi non plus : France – Angleterre in pop music

For the James Tissot and Aubrey Beardsley exhibitions, Yan Wagner and Uele Lamore offer you a musical journey on each side of the Channel to encounter the best of Franco-British pop. The Musée d'Orsay puts England and pop music in the spotlight, bringing out the powerful and sometimes paradoxical link that has united the United Kingdom and France up to the present day.

From Serge Gainsbourg and his legendary Je t'aime… moi non plus, recorded with Jane Birkin in London in 1969 and banned by the BBC, to David Bowie, whose albums Pin Ups (1973) and Low (1977) were recorded at the Château d'Hérouville (Val d'Oise), the singer, composer and director Yan Wagner has worked with the conductor and arranger Uele Lamore to present, on stage with a quartet, synthetic and acoustic, intimate and timeless versions of these songs that have become classics of the popular repertoire.
