Pipornithology

Passionate about ornithology, Christophe Chassol is a rare bird in French pop. A genuine composer/observer, he takes inspiration from the sounds of the world around him for musical motifs on which he composes an original, unclassifiable soundtrack, where pop, jazz and classical music come together. He calls this unusual method Ultrascore. Having released four albums acclaimed by public and critics alike (Nola chérie, Indiamore, Big Sun and Ludi), Christophe Chassol is today a key figure in the contemporary music scene. For the exhibition The Origins of the World, pop artist Chassol is offering two special performances in which, drawing on his archives and works, he unveils on stage a selection of musical compositions and documentary works resulting from his observation of birds and nature.
