The International Federation of Film Archives, a body organising film archives around the world, has chosen Paris and the Musée d’Orsay to celebrate its fiftieth anniversary. The collaboration between the IFFA and the Musée d'Orsay has resulted in the presentation to the public of a series of events about the first years of the cinema : three documentary exhibitions, but also an important programme of screenings.

or the first ten years of the cinema seen through the maddest dreams and inventions of pioneers.


Posters of Silent Movies (1896-1929)
a selection of posters lent by film archives throughout the world.


Remembrance of Films Past
Exhibition devoted to technical and methodological problems related to the preservation of the world cinematographic patrimony.
