How long is my Carte blanche valid?

Your card is valid for one year from the date of membership.

How do I know when my Carte blanche expires?

Your card is renewable without reprinting a new physical replacement. Which is why the end date of membership is not specified on the card itself.

The expiry date of your Carte blanche is indicated on the following documents:

  • On the renewal or purchase invoice of your Carte blanche received at home by mail,
  • At the end of each bimonthly e-newsletter dedicated to members, sent out if you have provided a valid email address and agreed to receive news from the Musée d'Orsay and Musée de l’Orangerie,
  • On the letterhead of the renewal mail that will be sent to your home by post, one month before the end of your membership.

You can also contact us by phone at +33 (0)1 40 49 47 28 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm (working days) or via the contact form

What are the advantages of my Carte blanche?

What are the offers available from the Carte blanche cultural partners?

You can take advantage of benefits at the cultural partners of the Musée d'Orsay and Musée de l'Orangerie (special rates on an exhibition or on the partner's pass, guided tours, open days, etc.).

Does booking a time-stamped slot apply to Carte blanche members?

The mandatory booking of an access slot does not apply to Carte blanche members, who can go directly to the museum entrance.

As a reminder, the conditions of access are subject to exceptional modification according to the constraints of the Musée d'Orsay and Musée de l’Orangerie.

You will find all the information concerning access, reception and visiting conditions in the Visit section.

Is there priority admission for Carte blanche members?

At the Musée d'Orsay, you enjoy priority admission through door C upon presentation of the Carte blanche. From September 13th the entrance will be at door A for the Carte blanche members. At the Musée de l'Orangerie, you enjoy priority admission upon presentation of the Carte blanche.

As a Carte blanche member, can I still visit the Musée d'Orsay exhibitions from 9 am?

Yes. Admission is from 9 am, subject to occasional changes in the Musée d’Orsay opening times. Very often the inability to open at 9 am is due to an unforeseeable event, but certain dates are known to be subject to change. You can find these dates in the Carte blanche news section. This advantage is valid for the holder of the Carte blanche as well as for a guest in the case of a Duo package membership.

As a reminder, the conditions of access are subject to exceptional modification according to the constraints of the Musée d'Orsay and Musée de l’Orangerie. You will find all the information concerning access, reception and visiting conditions in the Visit section.

I forgot my Carte blanche. Can I access the museums?

The Carte blanche must be presented for inspection on admission. If you forget it, on an exceptional basis, you may go to ticket desk 6 at the Musée d'Orsay and to the reception desk at the Musée de l'Orangerie to gain access to the museum areas. Our officers will check the validity date of your card.
