Musées Jean-Jacques Henner and Gustave Moreau
The Musée National Jean-Jacques Henner is housed in the former home of painter-decorator Guillaume Dubufe, a private mansion on the Plaine Monceau that today houses the work of Alsatian painter Jean-Jacques Henner. It also offers a rich and eclectic program promoting young companies, welcoming an artist in residence each year.
The Musée National Gustave Moreau opened its doors in January 1903 in the heart of the Nouvelle Athènes district. The layout, which has remained unchanged ever since, is that imagined by the artist and his sole heir Henri Rupp. The four-storey house-museum, housing some 25,000 works, reveals the many facets of the Symbolist master.
Since January 1, 2024, the two institutions have been offering a one-way ticket. A ticket purchased at the Musée national Gustave Moreau gives free access to the Musée national Jean-Jacques for 72 hours following a visit to the Musée national Gustave Moreau, and vice versa.
Member offer: reduced rate for the one-way ticket (6€) and cultural activities at the Jean-Jacques Henner (concerts: 10€, themed tours/walks and readings: 8€) and Gustave Moreau (concerts and shows: 12€) museums for all Carte Blanche members of the Orsay and Orangerie museums.
