Né à Milan, fils de Giovanni Bugatti et de Annalia Salvioni. Décédé à 2h10 minutes, au château Saint-Jean à Dorlisheim près de Molsheim, commune où se trouvent les usines Bugatti. Peintre, sculpteur, ciseleur, architecte et ébéniste. Médaille d'argent à l'Exposition Universelle de 1900. Le musée d'Orsay conserve un fonds d'archives sur cet artiste, consultable sur demande.
