Ebéniste, fonde sa maison à Paris en 1840. Fils de Gaspard Diehl, menuisier et Catherine Hill. Il arrive à Paris en 1837 et sera naturialisé français en 1872. En 1840 il demeure au 3 rue de Thorigny. Médaille de bronze à l'EU de 1855, d'argent à l'EU de 1867, médaille du progrès à l'EU de 1873 à Vienne.
