Fondeur de bronze qui s'associe entre 1881 et 1882 avec le fondeur François Rudier ; ils travaillent pour Rodin ; puis il s'associe avec Jean-Nicolas Lorge, fondeur en cuivre, entre 1882 et sa mort en 1894 ; son fils Auguste Griffoul lui succède (cf. E. Lebon, 2003, p. 172-174).
