Fils de Jean Béraud (sculpteur). Peintre. Né à Saint-Petersbourg et mort à Paris. Elève de Bonnat, il débuta au Salon en 1873. Beraud s'inspira de la vie quotidienne de la bourgeoisie parisienne et fut un des fondateurs de la Société Nationale des Beaux-arts. Actif à Paris.
