Illustrateur, peintre de genre et de paysages, aquarelliste. Né à Londres, mort à Eastbourne (Londres). Il étudie à South Kensington puis à la Royal Academy. Membre du Royal Institute of Painters in Water-Colours depuis 1891.Il expose à la Royal Academy dès 1876 ainsi qu'à l'exposition Universelle de Paris de 1900 où il est médaillé de bronze.
