Permanent collections
To help you discover the permanent collections, the Musée d'Orsay offers audio guides with over 300 commentaries on the works.
These audioguides are available in French, German, English, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese and Russian.
Audioguides are equipped with induction loops for hearing-impaired visitors.
Exhibitions
For its major exhibitions, the Musée d'Orsay offers audioguided tours developed with the exhibition curators, who invite you to discover their selection of works with commentary.
These audioguides are currently available in French and English.
Rental price
Adult audioguide
- Full price: 6 euros
- Reduced rate : 4 euros
- Carte Blanche members: 4 euros
The reduced rate is available to all members of the public entitled to free admission to the museums, as designated here.
The reduced rate is only available at the audioguide counter, on presentation of proof of entitlement, and is not sold on the online sales site.
Audioguide for young audiences
- Price: 3.50 euros
The Young Audioguide is designed for children under 12.
Available in French and English.
Audioguide to download on your phone
For its main temporary exhibition, the Musée d'Orsay invites you to download your audioguide directly to your phone. The itineraries have been devised in collaboration with the exhibition curators, who invite you to discover their selection of works with commentary.
These audioguides are currently available in French and English.
/This audioguide does not include content for the Permanent Collections or other current exhibitions.
The exhibition tour can be downloaded to your iOs (Apple) or Android cell phone via a QR code on the e-ticket or a link sent in the order confirmation email (1 download per phone, as many downloads as purchases).

Audioguides and accessibility
Audioguides for hire feature induction loops for hearing-impaired visitors.
Audioguides are available free of charge for the visually impaired and blind. They enable visitors to discover a selection of works in the collection with audio-description commentary.
Audioguides adapted to French Sign Language (LSF) are also available.
