Beneath the cobblestones there are songs…just waiting to be awakened. As part of the major exhibition, "L'Art est dans la rue", the Musée d’Orsay welcomes François Morel and his guests for four evenings dedicated to street songs and songs about the street. Cover versions and original creations are featured. Do you know the song? You’re welcome to sing along with the artists.
If, as Charles Trenet later sang, "long after the poets are gone, their songs still walk the streets", there’s no doubt that the songs born at the time of industrialization, the rise of cities, and the emergence of posters as a means of urban expression, are still there, present, in the memory of the cobblestones.
