Artistic Director of the prestigious Stavanger Chamber Music Festival, Christian Ihle Hadland is also one of the most adventurous pianists in the Nordic world. Here he reveals some of Munch's secret inspirations.
Like many of his contemporaries, the painter was fascinated by the philosophy of Nietzche, a thwarted composer (like Rousseau before him), whose musical production Hadland allows us to discover here. More unexpectedly, the score of Janáček's On an Overgrown Path.
