Il était une fois un chat · a poetic-eclectic cabaret
The programme includes music, poetry, satirical songs and shadow theatre.
The programming in conjunction with the "L'Art est dans la rue" exhibition was designed to bring to the auditorium stage a group of promising young artists for whom the street, both a source of inspiration and a place for experimentation, is a permanent theatre. The Cours Florent troupe revisits the spirit of Montmartre’s cabarets. An inspired, original and audacious show. In one word, invigorating!
With the talented Cours Florent troupe, relive the vibrant atmosphere of Montmartre at the end of the 19th century. Music, poetry, satirical songs and shadow theatre combine to reinvent the bold, innovative spirit of the era in a resolutely contemporary cabaret. Inspired by artists such as Charles Cros (1842-1888), Aristide Bruant (1851-1925) and Erik Satie (1866-1925), this show pays tribute to this artistic heritage. Three exceptional performances celebrating the creativity and originality of the Florentines.
