Cultural Olympiad

In the context of European Heritage Days, the tightrope walker Nathan Paulin will be making his way across the Musée d'Orsay’s great nave while, down below, acrobats from the XY Company put on a performance choreographed by Rachid Ouramdane. The show inaugurates the Cultural Olympiad at the Musée d'Orsay, with further events set to continue throughout the season.
Pushing the boundaries of his art, that’s what motivates the tightrope walker and world record holder Nathan Paulin to undertake ever-more spectacular feats. After the two towers in Paris’ La Défense district and his walk between the Eiffel Tower and the Chaillot Palace, he’s once again inviting the public to hold their breath as he sets off across the Musée d’Orsay’s great nave on a highline. His performance will be accompanied by acrobats from the XY Company, with sound by Jean-Baptiste Julien and directed by Rachid Ouramdane, in the context of a new partnership with the Chaillot National Theater.
