For the last week of the exhibition devoted to Edvard Munch, the Musée d'Orsay and the Nuits Sonores festival are joining forces to invite visitors to an exceptional closing event. From 7pm to midnight, take part in a grand “Munch Ball” in the museum’s spaces converted for the occasion into adancefloor: two live stages in the breathtaking setting of the Orsay station's restaurant and ballroom as well as performances amidst the exhibition. On the program, and in a nod to Edvard Munch and his famous Dance of Life, is a selection entirely dedicated to artists of the prolific Norwegian electronic scene with a delightfully diverse lineup.

Founded in Lyon in 2003, the Nuits Sonores music festival will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2023. An opportunity for Arty Farty, the festival's organizing structure, to recall the strong local roots of Nuits Sonores, but also its long history of journeys, encounters and cultural interactions on all continents. From New York to Tangier, via Brussels and Lyon, this "20th anniversary year" will be equally punctuated with nods to the festival's history and to its imagined future.
