An unexpected encounter centering on Franz Schubert between Rosemary Standley, singer of the blues-rock band Moriarty, and the adventurous instrumentalists of the Ensemble Contraste, in a staging by Vincent Huguet which also represents a return to the sources of this repertoire.

Born in Viennese salons and cabarets, Schubert's lieder attracted amateur singers as well as popular musicians and stars of the opera stage. Only gradually over the years has this music been “ennobled” (gentrified, some would say), at the risk of cutting itself off from its roots by locking itself up in concert halls. Rosemary Standley's voice thus recovers a form of authenticity, reinforced by the chamber music spirit sought by Arnaud Thorette and Johan Farjot.
