Into the woods · Eskelina
From 6 years old

Into the woods is a Scandinavian-inspired illustrated musical tale. A strange creature appears to the narrator, who lives at the edge of the woods. It's a story about taming, trusting and losing oneself in the enchanted, unpredictable forest of love.
Into the woods...
One day, sitting on my veranda, I saw someone at the edge of the woods. The first time, he passed so quickly that I thought I saw the shadow of a branch. The next day, he came back, and this time he stood still, staring at me. His eyes were silvery blue. Like the surface of the water when there's sun and wind at the same time. (extract from the show)
Eskelina is the creator of Into the woods. On stage, she tells the story in French and sings in French and English, accompanying herself on piano and sometimes guitar. Philippe Desbois accompanies Eskelina on cello, violin, guitar, electric guitar and percussion. Thanks to his creative and luminous arrangements, we are plunged into a rich musical universe, ranging from joyful pop and rock'n'roll to amusing or romantic songs.
