From 28 October 2016 to 5 March 2017, the Musée d'Orsay exhibition at the Seoul National Art Center, a highlight of the France-Korea Year, will celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the Parisian institution inaugurated in December 1986, with a selection of 70 paintings and around fifty drawings. From Romanticism to Classicism, Academism to Realism, Impressionism to Naturalism, Symbolism to Eclecticism up to the sources of 20th century modern art, the exhibition, based around great masterpieces such as Millet’s The Gleaners, will show the Korean public the diversity of the aesthetic worlds in France in the second half of the 19th century, rediscovered in part through the prefiguration of the Musée d'Orsay in the late 1970s.

The exhibition is now over.
