Famille de fondeurs : Alexis (?-1897), puis sa veuve (?-1927) et son fils Eugène (1875-1952), installés à Paris puis à Malakoff, utilisant toujours la signature Alexis Rudier ; travaillèrent beaucoup pour Rodin puis pour le musée Rodin ; fonderie reprise par Georges Rudier, neveu d'Alexis (cf. E. Lebon, 2003, p. 219-223).
