Expose 17 fois au Salon des Artistes français de 1876 à 1908 (méd. de 3e classe 1881, de 2e classe 1882), médaille d'or aux Expositions universelles 1889 et 1900. Expose à SNBA de 1892 à 1910. Praticien chez Carpeaux, Gautherin, Alfred Lenoir, Rodin (de 1884 à 1900, taille la Danaïde, Eve, Eternelle idole et avec Victor Peter les chevaux du monument Claude Lorrain, Nancy, 1891-92). Edité par Siot-Decauville. Une demi boite à la Doc. du M'O, déc. 1997. Inscrit sous le nom "Jean Marie Escoula" dans le fichier de la SAF.
