Fabricant d'orfèvrerie, il fonda sa maison en 1851 (ateliers au 16, rue de Verneuil et magasins au 58, quai des Orfèvres). Spécialisé dans la fabrication d'objets à l'usage du culte, il travailla d'après Viollet-le-Duc et Ruprich-Robert.
