European Night of Museums · Sculpture, what a story!
De 18h à minuit (dernier accès à 23h)
Each year, for one night, the public is invited to discover the riches of France's museums in an unusual, festive and fun way. This year, Aristide Maillol is the subject of an exhibition presented until August 21st. The Musée d'Orsay will be honoring sculpture during this European Museum Night.
The first retrospective at the Musée d'Orsay devoted to Aristide Maillol, a crucial artist in the birth of modernity in the early 20th century, also invites us to look at the sculptures of his contemporaries and predecessors. These works have indeed many secrets to deliver. So, let's listen to them talk about the artists who gave birth to them, about their time, and perhaps also about ours.
Mediators, lecturers, visual artists and even live models are here to help you discover sculpture on the occasion of the European Night of Museums.
