Peintre et graveur. Né au lieu-dit Gruchy, sur la commune de Gréville, aujourd'hui appelée Gréville-Hague, mort à Barbizon (1814 - 1875). Frère de Jean-Baptiste et de Pierre, père de François. Elève de Mouchel à Cherbourg, puis de Delaroche à Paris. Débuta au Salon en 1840. Fixé à Paris en 1845. Actif à Cherbourg, Paris, Barbizon.
